The Brand Trussardi

We have Trussardi in de shop! And i think it would be nice to know a bit more about the background of this brand :-D

I did my research and soóó... Trussardi is an Italian Fashion House founded by the Italian Dante Trussardi in 1911 and he made and sold leather gloves... in the 70´s of the last century his grandson Nicola Trussardi took over the company of his grandfather and expanded this line with other leather goods..

In the 1980´s the company started producing clothing, jeans and perfume and in 1985 it had 120 stores around the world, in America they had their own departments in stores and boutiques and they had franchise locations in Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Miami and San Fransisco... they where especially populair among the jet-set and the rich among society.

In 1986 they established the denim line with casual clothing for men and woman named Trussardi Jeans.

In the 90´s they had the largest markets in Japan and Italy, Europe is also gradually conquering with their clothing and accesoires.

From 2014 Tomasso Trussardi is te CEO of the company, his sister Gaia is the creative director and their mother Maria Luisa Trussardi is the chairman of the Trussardi Group..

The fashion house had 3 lines: *Trussardi *Tru Trussardi & *Trussardi Jeans, each of these lines had their own stand- alone shops.

Unfortunately Tru Trussardi discontinued is 2016, this line is sometimes still available in some shops, but they stopt producing this line sinds then. Trussardi is the head line and designs couture clothing for men & woman, Trussardi Jeans is the denim line with casual wear for men & woman.

In 2013 Gaia Trussardi produced a fun video in honor of the 40th anniversary or their Greyhound Logo, wich can be viewed below...

Trussardi also has a restaurant named "Alla Scala" and a café "Trussardi" in an open courtyard overlooking a square in Milan, the restaurant has been in existence sinds 2006 and has two Michelin Stars... So if you ever come in Milan and you are a Fashion & Food Lover this is a nice place to discover...

The restaurant/cafe is located at Piazza della Scala 5 in Milan, Italy...

We currenlty have a small collection of Trussardi Jeans in the shop consisting of trendy Beach Bags in neon color, the trend of this summer... Trendy Shopping Bags with a more Classic Greyhound Logo & men´s T-shirts for the summer...
